Closest signal to the LA DMA is KFOO (AM 1440) in Riverside. Only other California station is Liberal Talk “Real Talk 910” KKSF San Francisco (which I am sad to see leave the air there).
Currently, here in Los Angeles, iHeart's KRRL 92.3 FM has no HD side channels (it formerly carried two) and KBIG 104.3 FM has just one HD-2 side channel. Wondering why can't iHeart place their new BIN on an HD side channel in LA? Also, KIIS 102.7 has no HD channels and KYSR has just one HD-2 channel. Only KOST 103.5 appears to be robustly using its HD side channel capabilities.
iHeart has been pulling back on HD nationally, yet it seems BIN is an opportunity to revisit that trajectory and add some fresh content in this market. Note, iHeart is placing BIN on HD channels in Minneapolis, Cleveland, and Nashville.
