iHeartRadio Music Festival 2012

I'm sure that a lot of you have heard about this if you listen to any Clear Channel stations. If you haven't, you must have been living under a rock. This is the second time they've done this, and if you guys remember last year, the concert was streamed online, but also broadcast across several Clear Channel stations throughout the U.S. Does anyone know if they're going to be doing that this year?

I would suppose the CHR's only. I don't think the C&W, rock or oldies CC stations are getting into this.

The Friday night 9/21/22-Saturday morning 9/22/12 edition is in progress as I post this...like last year here in NYC, CHR Z100 (WHTZ) is carrying the show. There are likely approximately 150 stations carrying the show over the air; as previously mentioned, mostly CHRs.

Unlike last year, though, there is a hefty 80-90 second delay between the live internet video feed and the over-the-air radio feed in order to add profanity screening. I've already heard a few edits on the radio side.

PS

The online audio feed via the iheart radio link (and likely participating radio station Listen Live links) is similarly censored as the radio station over the air feeds. However, the audio that goes along with the video feed is live, raw and uncensored. Thus, the disclaimer underneath the online video screen warning that "This is a live uncensored concert. Viewer discretion is advised."

The on-air radio and iheart radio online feeds are hosted by Elvis Duran (Z100 NYC) and Ellen K (KIIS-FM L.A.).

More unannounced appearances: Psy came on before Lil Wayne and performed "Gangnam Style". Keyshia Cole performed with Lil Wayne.
