iHeartRadio music festival to stream on ALL Clear Channel stations

I just heard an announcement that the entire iHeart Radio Music Festival will be broadcast live on every single station owned by Clear Channel. I don't know if I'm a good judge, but I think it should be only streamed on stations with the Top 40/CHR format, since I think that's what this festival mostly is.

I would think one station in each market would be enough.

Are they going to broadcast it on AM stations that normally air Rush Limbaugh? If so, why?

What time does it start? Friday at what? whare did you hear this?
I heard maxwell last night talking about Romio broadcasting live from the fest Friday night and Saturday.

It starts Friday night at 10 pm Eastern. I heard about it on 96.1 WSRS, an Adult Contemporary station in Worcester, Mass. I guess maybe one station in each market will be carrying it, as they are the only music station in the Worcester market.

Hmmm, we do not have a Clear Channel AC outlet here. Wondering who might broadcast it live here in Philly?
Bassed on the acts I've heard that will be there i'd guess CHR WIOQ.

Okay here's a link which says it will in fact be streaming on one clear channel station per markit.

From what I gather, it will be streaming on a top 40 at leats in Las Vegas, 93.1 KPLV.
I've checked out IHeartRadio.com and I can't find a place that talks about it streaming on Terrestrial Radio anywhare.
I could assume it'd be streming on WIOQ here, WAEB in Allentown, WLAN etc....
Can someone confirm either way if it will be streaming on FM?
Thanks.

The info you're looking for is contained in the last three paragraphs of the Clear Channel press release dated 9/19/2011 linked below:

The mistake that the original poster made was what they "thought" they heard versus what was "actually" said.

The audio of the concert/festival will be streamed on all Clear Channel station websites and over-the-air on Clear Channel radio stations in over 150 markets - no specific station lineup is given, but I would assume (based on the Las Vegas Weekly article posted in this thread) that at least one station in each of those markets would broadcast the event. As another poster surmised, likely it would be a CHR/Top 40, Rhythmic CHR, Hot/Modern Adult Contemporary, Adult Contemporary or R+B/Hip-Hop outlet that would carry the show.

Well it wound up streaming on our local CHR WIOQ here.
Since I airchecked the entire thing, I didn't check other CHR's that i can get.
The dead air due to the beep butten being used was very, very annoying though. I understand why it was used, but seriously guys clean it up.
They said on the website that the show would be family friendly, and not any worse then the kids hear already. Oh really?
Maybe the LP versions, but c'mon.
Nicki talked 'bout being clean at some point in the middle of her performance, but I didn't hear anything change even after that point.
If you're gonna stream something like that on anolog radio (which is really cool as this does not happen often these days), shouldn't it be expected that it be kept clean so you can hear the entire performance, and not just half or a quorter of it?
During friday's performance, I thought there was something wrong with the studio link to the concert and didn't understand why it wasn't fixed.
Time Saturday came around though, I realized what was going on.
I wonder if the language was cut out of the net and Xbox too?
