iHeart's Pittman Promotes Radio

iHeart CEO Bob Pittman wrote an editorial about the virtues of traditional radio in a digital world:


I'm sure a lot of people are surprised Pittman takes this view, given the actions of his company. But as I often say, radio is not a one-or-the-other thing.

From what I've read here, new songs played on commercial radio go thru an extensive (and IMHO, limiting) evaluation process, it isn't the wild west of social media where anyone can write, record and post a song they've created.
