iHM is getting ready to do what Entercom or Cumulus should've done YEARS ago...

I wonder if something will be happening this weekend, like tomorrow or Tuesday of next week. I'd bet iHeart won't be ditching Power 96.1. 96.7 The Breeze.....

Now, I’m hearing that 96.7 FM WBZW-FM, Union City, GA is off the air but 105.3 WRDG-FM, Bowdon, GA is back in the FM air waves...

In less than a few hours changes are coming to Atlanta, GA airwaves... Does 96 Rock return to Atlanta, GA as just a streaming station or on the terrestrial FM airwaves as a flip? ...as well as it is an affirmative, there will be an FM frequency flip of possibly one or two of iHeart Media’s signals to The Breeze...but, which will it truly be?!... We shall see very soon...

From an outsider looking in. Judging from the WBZW calls, I think The Breeze will land on that spot. They seem to be a nice fit for the new format anyway. (W-B-ree-Z-e-W)

Yes, RDP, I had considered that idea as well and had posted on this thread a few weeks ago concerning the "BZ" letters already being in place on both 96.7 (WBZW) and 105.7 (WBZY). Of course, Iheart could just as easily move either one of those call signs to 96.1, too, if that is where the "Breeze" eventually lands.

It’s funny how the WBZY calls came from way back in the day with “The Buzz.” And now we may be using them for “The Breeze.” Very ironic. It’s like someone predicted this years ago.

I think it’s pretty obvious by now this whole thing was a joke, lol. Memorial Day has passed, if it was even going to 96.7 they would have done it this weekend.

🎶📻The Breeze will come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may...

Tomorrow...Tomorrow...there's Always Tomorrow... (ok, I improvised a little)... 😂

Not a lot of radio stations make format changes on a major US holiday. That means we can wake up tomorrow and expect a Breeze to come through Atlanta on 96.7.

Folks - RadioInsight has also mentioned that 95.7 The Party in Denver might be expecting a rebranding as well but that has not happened yet. Maybe we assumed it was going to happen this past weekend but could come at a later time. I feel confident that the Breeze will make its debut on the ATL fm radio dial.

If iHeartMedia Atlanta ever reconsiders flipping any of their stations to The Breeze on a main HD1 channel, Power 96.1 WWPW-FM & 94.9 THE BULL WUBL-FM will never have it happen to them anytime soon. The reason is because in observance of National Doughnut Day (Official Summer Edition), Power & THE BULL will be at 2 Dunkin' locations with CBS46 WGCL-TV anchor Karyn Greer & meteorologist Ella Dorsey. Karyn will be at one Dunkin' location during Wake Up Atlanta on CBS46 and Ella will be at another Dunkin' location also during Wake Up Atlanta. Happy National Doughnut Day (Official Summer Edition) to all on this Friday, June 4th, 2021!
