Ike KOs local ESPN radio - Beaumont Enterprise

WOW...seems hard to believe their transmitter is 2000 feet high. That's higher than their tower!!! ;)

Are they off the air? or are they in their Aux (which will obviously only cover Houston)?

Looks like they're only using the aux, because they're still broadcasting. Jack is also not coming in to Beaumont as clearly as they should be.

Here is a copy on their Aux application which is on file with the FCC: http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/prod/cdbs/forms/prod/getattachment_exh.cgi?exhibit_id=358230

As you can see(Scroll down the page), their Aux site has no coverage of Beaumont at all.

Yes 97.5 ESPN Radio is using their alternate transmitter, which can only be heard in most parts of Houston. I traveled to Louisiana recently and once you get East of Baytown on Interstate 10 , you will lose the station.
