What a horrible novelty record,, I would skip this at CHR unless calls where over whelming for it. At least when it dies out we will never hear it again,, This song is just horrific,, I thought it was funny the first time I heard it, but I thought it was a station parody.. How did this AZZ clown get a international hit.. I know im not in the demo,, but its just dumb,, just dogging on himself,,, This is much worse that I love College, which I actually liked briefly.
 
Apparently, this so-called "Spose" guy thinks he is awesome. I agree, horrible song. I'm glad none of the LA CHRs have played it.
 
I agree with Mid West Clubber because I thought it was funny the first time I heard it but now after hearing it daily on the radio I don't care for it anymore. It's probably going to be a hit at least in Maine because Spose is from Maine. Q97.9 plays it daily.
 
Last night a girl I know called me blasting this song wanting me to ID the artist. She loved it. It just goes to show that novelty songs can and do work. The trick is to pull these songs early, never let them get burned because they become annoying very quickly.

Spose isn't even worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence with Eminem. Its absolutely ridiculous you compare him to one of the greatest hip hop legends of all time. Spose is this year's Asher Roth...he will have one big hit and then nobody well ever hear of him again. His song is kind of funny but it gets old fast and if that song is the best representation of the guy's talent, he is going nowhere.

Spose sounding like Eminem? PLEASE!!! Spose is a joke. He has no talent and this songs is terrible. Eminem is better and has talent, and has been around for years. At least he doesn't make silly low-budget songs like this!

Also, I don't think Asher Roth is terrible... I actually liked "I Love College", it wasn't as terrible as this new dump.
 
Well to each his own opinion. I like the song, true it's annoying at times but with low rotation, it doesn't sound that bad. Sorry you don't like it.

Tik Tok is one of those songs that could be played every other song and people wouldn't mind...reminds me a lot of Hollaback Girl when it broke a few years ago.
 
Subconsciously I knew it was only a matter of time before someone brought up Eminem in regards to this song.

If we were just talking about Spose here, I would've used less "A's", but... well I've gone this long without making any KE$HA jokes or remarks, so let me not start back now.

I no longer care too much to hear Spose every time I hear it being mixed in a mix show mix, but it doesn't "cut like a knife" the way "tik tok" does each time I hear it and start to realize how far backwards we've advanced in music since the new millennium. I admit, top 40 is improving, but we were beginning to do so well and out of no where "tik tok" pops up. I almost purchased a renewed passport and moved - until I found out it charted GLOBALLY :mad: I'd rather go back to the days of L'Trimm "cars that go boom" generation of music than to hear tik tok.

Damn it! I did it again! I just couldn't resist... Oh well. One day KE$HA will get word that I am talking about her and she might get very pissed....

Agreed. There's so many rock heads or one dimensionals on here. A HIT'S a HIT. It's better than "Blah Blah Blah" or "Your Love is My Drug" You want horrid? "Imma Bee imma bee imma bee imma bee imma bee imma bee imma bee". I don't care how high it charted. Pewww.
 
The song wasn't the best of 2010 by any means, but for a new artist with his first hit to actually make the Top 40 charts is somewhat of an accomplishment.
 
We are actually holding funeral services for the "I'm awesome" record later today at 8:35pm. As far as KE$HA goes, I will admit she is not the worst thing in the world to me, even though to facebookers and many people it may seem as if I update my rolodex of KE$HA jokes daily. As I said for my first post about her on these boards some time ago, she does have talent, but many times she just chooses not to show it as much as possible. I respect her creativity and her talents, but I really don't care for most of her music. However, I do let "your love is my drug" since it does sound somewhat more like a "normal" almost electronic dance record. Sometimes seeing actual videos does help your mind to accept, appreciate, and embrace certain things more, but I don't think I'll ever fully embrace "TiK ToK" no matter what. I wish both the "TiK ToK" and "Bla Bla Bla" instrumentals were given to someone else. Maybe Spose could've used them..
 
One of the worst pieces of garbage out now is the annoying "Rock That Body" from Blackeyed Peas. I usually get a kick out of songs with the chipmunked voices (Through the Wire, Overnight Celebrity, It Don't Matter, etc)...but this one overdoes it & has the same over-redundant lyrics (the BEPs are sooo known for), beats & Mickey Moused vocal. It sounds like the Chimpettes!!! If I were Rob Base I wouldn't have let them sample my song. :-X
 
I take back every and anything I said about KE$HA's "your love is my drug". It is no better than "tik tok" at all - as a matter of fact, "Tik tok" is probably the best KE$HA production that has hit radio so far. "Your love is my drug" is worse.

Not only did I have to put up with hearing it multiple times throughout the night, but I go on twitter to find:

"I like Ke$ha's music, but...Lol!! RT @doctorjakell: Can anyone explain to me what the hell Ke$ha is. I am frightened and confused..."

AND in addition to this, my YOUNGER SISTER who FITS THAT GENERATION OF MUSIC PERFECTLY had to say this when "Your love is my drug" came on in the car:
"It's almost like she can't even sing - how is she even like famous right now?"

I stayed silent after she said that. Her music is the only thing disturbing me on mainstream radio right now, and now I'm beginning to see why Flo Rida decided to take all the credit himself for "right round". If I knew what was coming musically down the road from her at that time, I also probably would not want my collaboration to say "....featuring KE$HA" on it.
 
"Take it Off" by Ke$ha is also horrible, especially with the "King Tut" thing going on...It brought back memories of Steve Martin!
3OH!3's "My First Kiss" with her on it isn't TOO bad I guess.
