I'm cutting the cord, on regular antenna most of the time

Goodbye satellite TV. I've decided to cut the cord after the election as I'm watch mostly over the air anyway. I may go with Sling TV if I miss it that bad, but doubt it.

You are probably not going to miss it, but wait until you see all that you have been missing.

Increasingly I find myself tuning to OTA "diginets" that show reruns of series I used to
enjoy when I was younger. No one on the dish is showing them.

We cut the cord two years ago and never regretted it either. The only downside if one would call it that is that we don't get any of our local Denver channels but that is our choice. I have to admit it does bring up some interesting conversations such as this conversation I had at work last week between a co-worker and myself...

Co-Worker:...hey did you see that news report last night on FOX 31 Denver ??

Me: No I didn't. I try to stay away from local Denver TV. It's mostly garbage.

Co-Worker: OMG !! HOW DARE YOU !! My sister is an intern at FOX 31..are you calling HER garbage ??

Me: No I did NOT call HER garbage but FOX 31 KDVR is !!

Co-worker: Whatever !!!

oh well !!

If you drop your cable package and pick-up sling you haven't "cut the cord." You are still getting TV via "cord," probably the same cord if you keep your former cable provider as your Internet service provider. And before you make the change, do your homework. Your fee for Internet service is likely to increase when it's not packaged with a cable package.

Also check the reliability of your OTA television reception. Some channels may come and go for no explicable reason.

I've had OTA television all my life and install antennas as a hobby/business.
I advise all my clients to consider Amazon Firestick with KODI installed. I
also urge my clients to go online and research what is available to supplement
their OTA television. There are websites out there that have movies available
online just a few days after premiering at movie theaters...... BEST OF ALL,
IT'S TOTALLY FREE. With over 1,000 installs, I haven't had one person go
back to subscription television.
