I'm depressed

I'm sorry Mike, I feel your pain. I know it's tough not having Iggy, but I'm sure we'll all get through it as long as we support each other. lol

Seriously though, like I said below, Kim is taking calls on what you want on the new 92.3. So you can call and suggest to her to play whatever, or not to bring back a certain dj. The number is 216-861-1115. <P ID="signature">______________

Call Kim and tell her to keep our beloved night jock.

All kidding aside, what kind of night show would you like to hear? Would you rather be entertained by a really good jock, or is it all about the music? Would an all music and sweepers show be good? I can honestly say that I kinda like not hearing chatter. I almost don't want ANY of the jocks to come back. The station has been very listenable these last few days. Maybe a jockless jukebox-like alternative station would be cool... like Jack FM, but only with GOOD music!

Did 92.3 ever really have any jocks that were actually entertaining or compelling?... other than Opie and Anthony or Rover?

They are not mutually exclusive, you know. Back in the days, you used to have great personalities who also knew the music, were tight with the stars, knew how to do an interview and put songs together seamlessly. I am sorry. This must sound foreign to anybody under 21, since no one has been allowed to do this in years.

Jockless? <sigh>. Oh well, with the proliferation of jocks who don't know what they are playing and/or have nothing to say but stupid things, its no wonder "jockless jukebox" is considered cool.

Wow, what a concept! It would be nice to have both, too bad that's rare these days.

I wouldn't be totally upset with a jockless jukebox, but I'd much rather have an average dj than no dj. Heck, if the person has some talent, bonus point. :D<P ID="signature">______________

JOCKLESS JUKEBOX!!?? Dude, its hard enough for us aspiring DJs to find jobs these days. The last thing we need is another format experimenting with jockless operation. Trust me, the right jocks could make all the difference in whether 92.3 is finally able to be the station its capable of being in this market.<P ID="signature">______________

The only Dj's worth keeping are Rachael and Verlane and Bull. Nard should just work behind the scenes while filling in on occasion. Give either Bull or Verlane the 3-7pm shift and either Bull or Verlane the 7-12 shift.

Honestly I'm not really a huge fan of Bull....he still sounds kind of lost. Lots of times is seems as if commercials come on and interrupt his stop-set while he's in mid-sentence. Not a whole lot of flow. Rachael IMO is very top-notch...quite possibly the best female rock DJ in town. I'd keep her over anyone at that station right now....though Verlane certainly is not horrible.

When Bull filled in for Nard a few weeks back he sounded good. When he first started out he did sound a little lost. But hey can he be any worse then the guy they had in the 7-12 shift? I think you could pull somebody off the streets who knows absolutely nothing about radio and music and they still do a better job.

Bull has a lot of dead air on his show. At night, I wouldn't mind hearing Igor's show again. Like I said before, entertain me or give me a jockless jukebox. And Rachael Steel is a good jock, but needs to stop doing the daily news and gossip feature and the Scene Magazine interview about local events. They go on forever.
