Not sure if everyone has caught this guy on espn radio 1240 AM but he is terrible. He buys the station so he thinks that means he should put himself on air. Then starts calling himself "DP" How arrogant! Then begins "The DP Show" - boring and terrible...no suprise it failed. Word on the street is he says he decided not to do the show anymore cause he's too busy with the MS Braves (which he's not great at either), nice try but that is not the real reason the show is gone. Little secret behind the "MS Sportscenter" Darrell does....it's him reading WORD FOR WORD FOR WORD from the clarion ledger sports. Also when calling soccer games and what not, tip...learn how to turn off a microphone so the entire crowd doesn't hear you asking your co workers "did i make the right call?" Extremely glad that I can turn on espn radio now and hear a real sports talk show host where DP used to be! I cant stand people with a big ego, and i REALLY cant stand people with a big ego who have absolutely no reason to have a big ego....and that is "DP"
 
I didn't know the show has gone off the air. I was all right with him having the show on in PM drive time, but I was ticked when he moved to midday, replacing the last hour of Colin Cowherd. Also, not that I'm against local sports, but it's gets a little disinteresting talking only about local sports.

WABG-TV in Greenville was supposedly reading word-for-word from the Delta Democrat Times at one point five years ago.
 
back in the day, Bob Neblitt used to read either the Jackson Daily News or the State-Times on the noon news report on tv here in Jackson. He was not even trying be discreet...he would hold the paper up in his hands as he read.
