I'm going to be a DJ!

Okay, not really. I did get picked to do an Ultimate Top 10 on WKLU, however. I recorded it last night, and I am slated to air next Tuesday. It took all of 20 minutes and it was really easy, kinda like doing voice tracking must be. I had James Brown recording me (Crystal was supposed to be there, but I was stood up I guess, my life's story.) It basically went like this. Enter studio. Here's mic, here's a list of liners to read, and here is your top ten. When the liners were out of the way, we went through my top ten (only Blue Swede's Hooked on a feeling was substituted for Kansas' Carry On Wayward Son.) I was mostly organized, with a script for what I wanted to say. We had some fun with it. Then it was the grand tour, and out the door.James was a class guy. Not as easy to look at as Crystal, but I really enjoyed my time, however brief it was. Be sure to listen to my Ultimate Top 10 next Tuesday.

Congrats, dude. Why did they swap out that one song? Nice that they had you in the studio to record it. Sounds much better than when they were doing it via phone. jim

Congratulations radio geek! Don't know why they wouldn't let you play Kansas. A friend of mine was on Q-95 when they had guest DJs in the mid 80s and they wouldn't let him play "Mother Freedom" by Bread, because it was a song by Bread. Song rocks, though......for Bread.

I was surprised Blue Swede didn't make it (Kansas was the replacement), but Cliff Richard did. Go figure.
