I'm gonna miss Imus

Oh well, as someone posted here, 1340 went to ESPN Spanish Sports today. I'm not gonna argue it's not a good idea, but I hope someone picks up Imus. It would be the only format to make me get sat radio.

Adios, amigo

agreed; not really the hip choice but Imus in the Morning is easily the best and most informative morning show on the air.

If you live in Cobb, you'll be able to hear him on WFOM 1230AM. Other than that, your' out of luck, for now.<P ID="signature">______________

I am trying to understand the logic in these two stations no longer simulcasting. 1230 has almost no signal but I live in Cobb so at least I can listen to Imus if I want to.

No logic. But they have a conract to carry Imus and some other shows. They would have to pay them off and find a way to carry their spots to cancel the contract.

If you are trying to understand the Dickeys, then look for a financial reason and not always a sound programming reason.

IMHO, I think Dickey is better off either flipping 1230 to Spanish, or at least selling it to another company, preferably one that will allow WFOM to focus on Cobb County, and Cobb County only. But, then again, logic is basically non-existent in radio these days. After all, a contract is a contract.
