I'm hearing Fresh everywhere

So far I've heard it at work, at the grocery store, at the pizza place, and at my dentists office. Any other anectdotal reports about Fresh's success?

I have heard FRESH in a lot of places (and thought it strange).

My local ACE Hardware store has it on, as does at least 6 or 7 stores I can think of (7-11s etc.)

its like magic 97.7 up here in the NEK-VT ( our vast college competito) less talk and the basics ie lots of music to relax to

I haven't heard Fresh 102.7 WWFS anywhere I've been. Maybe I'm not in the right places.

Thanks,
Kevin L. Sealy

I've also heard Fresh in several establishments in Queens, including a 7-11 and a pizza place, the latter of which has had its radio glued to Lite FM for at least a decade.

But the question is what's being posted on this message board is scientific. Those who have heard Fresh 1027, are they hearing this station more now than what they've heard (Mix 102.7) WNEW-FM.?

Thanks,
Kevin L. Sealy

I heard it at KFC in North Arlington.

So, are we thinking that Fresh will beat Lite in "pizza parlors"?

I've heard it at the ice skating rink at the Palisades Center in Rockland County.

with the heavy tv advertising, it's not surprising that people are checking it out...with the roller coaster that radio has become, very few stations have a guarantee of loyalty, simply because they're not earning it...

Can't speak for anyone else that's heard Fresh in the establishments they visit, but all the ones I've personally mentioned have aired other stations in the past, and usually Lite FM. I don't recall any of them having Mix 102.7 on regularly.

Love the sarcasm, but in reality, I'm sure CBS would be quite happy if Fresh beats Lite in "pizza parlors," as well as other establishments. Remember that Arbitron ratings ask respondents to indicate all the stations they *heard* and not just necessarily chose to listen to, so if they were in a "pizza parlor" and heard Fresh while eating there, they would have to notate that in their diaries.

hearing a station in a deli, pizza parlor, hair salon, etc signals to the patrons an approval of that station as a 'mass expereince';
we are still a 'mass hallucination' culture, we want to read the #1 book, watch the #1 tv show, own the #1 Cd, etc so the public will flock 9for a while, at very least) to what they think is now the #1 radio station(most of the population still has no use for satellite,HD, orinternet radio at this moment in time)

I've heard Fresh in many establishments around the city this month.
I've also heard talk of it among non radio people.
They're making some headway.
I think Fresh may infact signify a "Fresh" sound for the younger demos perhaps wanting to disassociate themselves from LITE, which would typically target a, dare I say, sappier demo....
.....obviously the ploy/target of Fresh 102.7.
While Fresh/hot AC isn't my cup of tea I give CBS some credit for finally figuring out what to do with what seemed to be New York's current jinxed frequency.

My doctor's front office had on the Mix, exclusively. Since the flip, the girls have switched to Lite FM.
