The voice on the legal ID is Dick Covington, who passed away in 2004. He's been the voice since the KYW All News format launched in 1965.
Actually, Dick doesn't do the legal ID anymore. One of the female announcers (I'm not sure which) recorded a "KYW, KYW-HD, and WYSP-HD2 Philadelphia" tag before the jingle singers. After that, it's still Dick's "From Independence Mall, this is NewsRadio...." introduction, slightly edited.
I guess someone at CBS figured that ID-ing the HD streams in a promo in the last break of the hour wasn't close enough any more.
