I'm New!

Amber, welcome to the board.

And you HAVE to read this...the "Tower Site of the Week" from my friend Scott Fybush a few years back, featuring WODI/1230 Brookneal VA.

http://www.fybush.com/site-030717.html

It was owned and operated by a totally blind man.

I happened to be there for Scott's visit, and saw Dave do computer editing and commercial production using sound cues to operate Cool Edit Pro, and as Scott mentioned, he was faster than we'd be!

Dave and Tony sold WODI a while back.

Hey! Thanks for the info! I'll have to check out that link sometime! (when I get a chance) Thanks for sharing that! Hmmm, I think I've heard of edit pro before (but can't think of where I've heard it from) I was also looking/reading on one of the links someone on this thread posted, and to make the tuch screen accessible, the engeneer of the radiostation just put wholes in a piece of plexy glass, and all they did was count the rows. (no braille needed) I'm more proficient with the computer anyways. (and+ most employers are looking for those who are good on the computer for word processing and stuff) Other then my spelling lol, I'm pretty good on the computer. :) But I think that's awesome that they were able to come up with the plexy glass idea. Hmmm, wonder if that will work here at my University? It's definitely worth a try... (cause it comes off- so they don't have to glue it down or anything) so when a sighted person goes to opperate the screen, the plexy glass isn't interfearing. :)
Thanks for the link, and I'll have to check it out.
Amber.
