We use SecureNet Systems at a few stations I do contract work for. I don't know what the price is because the owner negotiated the deal. As for the service, they have been good with tech support and the streams work perfectly. They use Edcast encoder to send the stream using HE-ACC at 32kbps. You can find certain versions of the Edcast encoder that have a built in limiter that keeps the stream from clipping. I installed 3 instances of the encoder in 3 different folders on the same PC. I put in 3 sound cards and I run all 3 streams from one computer with no hiccups. Add a shortcut to the startup menu and it Auto-Starts, Auto-reconnects, and starts streaming. They also provide a software module to send out the now playing data.
The player that the listener sees isn't to fancy. You can change the background picture and add a few links, but that's about the extent of the customization. The administration page provides listener statistics and other info. You can schedule black-out times and other info in case you stream sports games.
We added our stream URLs to the TuneIn Radio app and we get free mobile streaming. The listeners have LOVED it. I would say they are worth looking into. Not the fanciest company around, but I think you get sufficient bang for the buck.
