Imagine a world where people with ears ran radio stations.

WTF!!!!

I heard Crazy in Janurary and on the first listen knew it was a major hit, I can't be the only one. How come it took over 51/2 months for radio stations to start playing it?

This is why radio is dying, programmers have the worst ears ever. Wake the f*ck up and play the hits when they are hits, stop killing my beloved radio!!!!

Amen - I can't believe it took so long for everyone to embrace Gnarls Barkley. The fact that Ashlee Simpson, Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, Nick Lachey, Britney Spears, Pussycat Dolls, Black Eyed Peas, Maroon 5, etc. are the biggest artists around prove that radio programmers must not have ears. Good God, what are some of you people thinking?

I think it took forever because it wasn't released in the US until about May. Best example is Natasha Bedingfield's "These Words" that was a hit in 2004 but took a YEAR (summer 2005) to become a hit in the US...annoying. And hypocritical because USs hits are on other charts across the world already. ::)

That would be when I remember hearing it for the first time on Sirus. so radio was actualy on that song pretty quick.

That's because nobody has independence and guts anymore. Hits are MADE and someone has to make the first move to play them. Even if you play a few stiffs, they can easily be pulled out and new music put in. I am not gonna get pissed off at a station for playing new music..even if I dont like the song, I'd rather they introduced me to it and gave me the chance to decide instead of relying on chart position and research to make it safe to play a good song like Gnarls Barkley.
