Imagine if Obama or McCain tried to put a law through congress that required radio stations to pay their talent a minimum of $11 an hr. What if it was approved? A certain station owner would throw a major fit. Most would, but one man would go beserk. I think it's a good idea, and I may send a letter to whoever is our next President.
 
OK, I'll be first to weigh in:)

Why stop at $11? I think it should be more like $16. Of course, I think people who drive school busses should get about $25, and the kids who bag groceries certainly deserve around $13. I, myself, am content with my $195 with overtime.

The point being, I'm not willing to let the government set my wages anymore than they already do. I spent 10 years in Lehigh Valley radio, starting at a whopping $1.60/hour. I wanted to learn, and it was the going rate back then. As I got better, I earned more! Go figure!
 
Bullet Bob, as good as this sounds it is a very Socialistic idea. McCain would never support such an plan. Obama surely would, as he is the closest to Socialism since Mcgovern. I hold the same philosophy as Mr. Farrow.
 
when i saw the title of this thread, I thought of the John Lennon song. it'd be fun to put this ridiculous post by bullet bob to the tune of that song:

"imagine all the dj's ... are paid 11 dollars an hour ... and they'll be no more 7 dollars ... they'll all make good money ..." ::)
