Imaging on 104.3

Has anyone else heard the stabs that 104.3 is taking on KLUC?

"If you love commercials, you'll love KLUC!"There was another one poking fun at Chet.
Not classy, but if you don't have any revenue and you're a new station; why not?
 
Haven't heard them yet, but either way the station isn't doing too good so KLUC probably has nothing to worry about... but if they want to improve then they need to actually promote themselves to the streets and advertise on TV or billboards.
By the way, are they still doing the "104 minutes of music" campaign? I remember they said they would do that after they switch from 102.7. Also I noticed the station is sounding a bit better now.
 
It's one thing for a brand new station with great expectations to slam it's heritage competitor. That can be effective. It's quite another for a station that's been around for several months to start doing it, especially when they already established that they are not going to be a major threat but just a pain in the side.

It's funny, after I posted this I heard NOW FM on in a couple of different stores and from someone's car (most of the time when I hear music from a car these days it's not the radio). This is the most I ever heard NOW out in public. Maybe slamming KLUC is working?? More than likely it's a coincidence.
 
Well, I think it was stupid of them to fire ELVIS, while his morning show didn't show much in terms of numbers and at times kinda boring... a top 40 style FM needs a morning show no matter how bad it really is.

They should have moved ELVIS to nites and canned SUPAJAMES... hell a board op can sound better than he does.

also, I think their VAN still has the OLD 102.7 logo... HELLO!!! your 104.3 NOW quick change the dam logo. and get some bumper stickers and tshirts, spend some freakin cash on a promotions budget. and don't run ops out of SF bay area.

move out of beasley studios, quit being so dam cheap.
