Imedia Touch Playout

Hi Everyone, I'm new to the forum, so hope I'm in the right place.
We have a problem with our playout system with hard sync items playing earlier that the hard sync time.
Log looks like this.
08.59:55 - Audio Logo 5 secs (hard sync)
09.00.00 - News Feed (5mins 2 secs)
09.05.03 - Adbreak (hard sync)

I should mention here that the news feed is totally independent of the playout system. (it is switched by Wheatstone blades)
Generally the adbreak will fire about 10 secs prior to the hard sync time. (i.e around 9.04.49)

Sometimes but not all the time, the first spot plays for about 10 secs, then fades down and plays the next items in full.
There is no wait fix.
We are pretty experienced users and our Melbourne station is fine. This is a new set up for our Adelaide station.
It has been suggested that our templates might be corrupt.
Any thoughts,
Much appreciated.
Mark

If the spot starts :10 before it is scheduled and then the next spot starts at the time that the first spot is SUPPOSED to start, I'm guessing that the problem might be in the programing for the Wheatstone blade. The blade might be kicking out an alert :10 before the end of event and the Imedia is seeing that alert it as a "start." Just a guess.

You should be able to see exactly what is going on in the outlog that iMediaTouch produces.

I had a similar problem years ago on a iMediaTouch system. We had a program on the on-air computer which would synch the system time from the internet at the start of each hour. Sometimes it would get a bogus reply from the server during the newscast, so the outlog showed the correct time for the end of the newscast. But sitting at the console watching it fail, it eventually became obvious when the time jumped from 09:00:05 to 09:00:21.

Thanks frankberry, but I'm told by our tech that the Playout system and the blade run independent of each other.
Much appreciated though.
