IMEDIATOUCH, OUTPUT CLOSURES NOT WORKING

For those of you running iMediatouch, have you successfully configured iMT to use OUTPUT closures when a specific feed is started or stopped? I'm having problems getting iMediatouch to close a relay on a BTools SS16.4 switcher when a specific feed stops. The relay will interface to and start a ESE downtimer.

Under "Feeds" on iMT, I have one feed configured to close the BTools relay when the feed stops (SS2, 200ms), but it's not working. My wiring is correct. The station is using V3.1.14, and I'm wondering whether the software has a bug that prevents serial communication for output closures.

I would call tech support but the station dropped support after a conflict over support costs.

Anyone successfully using output closures?

THANKS!

Can you increase the relay time to 250 ms? One time, I was sending out a relay in Audiovault that was not working and increasing the relay time took care of it.

Just guessing in the wind, but I think it was a bctools switcher I had the problem with.

Been down this road. If you're using serial strings to control your switcher, then you can't use closures on it. I have a station that wanted fades on the switches between sources, so that was out. Your best and easiest bet is to get the Measurement Computing PCI-DIO24 and either buy one of their breakout panels or roll your own DB-37 into a punch block, barrier strip or connection of your choice.

Thank you both. That's what I expected. I've had too many issues with iMediatouch, so hopefully this install will be my last. I expect more from a $17k system. There are other choices out there that don't give me the headache that iMT has.

The worst part about it is that every time you make a change, you have to reboot the damn thing. Don't have to do that with my other stations running Nexgen, Enco or even Simian.
