Idaho Impacto cancels never built 104.7 translator license.

K284CY 104.7 BOISE, ID IMPACTO NETWORK, INC. Cancelled
Comment #1: Permit cancelled 12/23/2024 per request of licensee - no letter sent
Added note. The AM it's tied to, KYWN 890, has been off the air since June.

Little update.
They cancelled their CP for Deer Point.
The ghost license on the 890 KYWN tower is still in effect.
A signal was noted on 104.7 last week for a while. Now gone.
890 KYWN is past the 365 days of no operation .

I'm still hearing a 104.7 all over Meridian and Boise, with Spanish music. It's not very strong. And there's another station bleeding through it. Is this still the ghost of KYWN AM? Or a pirate unrelated to the KYWN license?

I've heard nothing on 104.7 driving around Boise. 890 frequently IDed.
KCMB Baker City (country) takes over from Caldwell and westward.
KIKX Ketchum (Bob FM) is quite strong south of Boise and eastward. Transmitter site sw of Picabo.

FCC now list the license and construction permit as cancelled.
Fairly strong Spanish signal on 104.7 south of Boise.
Too much construction & closed roads to check out the alleged licensed site at the 890 tower which has been off the air now for many months.

KCMB does quite well above the New Plymouth exit, I agree.
I only hear KIKX up in Valley County when the jet planes are close to flying over from the east.
STILL haven't found KECH, KSKI or KYZK yet from Sun Valley...but just around the corner, the West Mountains, East Mountain and Lick Creek will be accessible again and I can try for each of those.
East Mountain Lookout (above Alpha) is accessible to the top by dirt roads. I'd like to take the 4-element up there and tune around. I'd probably get more than I did on the barefoot whip, even with the amazing TEF6686. Snowbank also drivable to the top, but I don't know how much interference I'd get from the radar site.

Came back on when I went to Boise this weekend. This Spanish Christian operator sure loves taking risks, don't they? They just turn it on whenever they feel like it...

I wonder if the 104.7 is located at one of the Spanish churches in Boise itself?

104.7 way stronger today driving into Boise AND 890 is back on the air.
