Improving Q92.9's ratings?

The best move for them is to flip to a Rhythmic station like Hot 96.9 Boston or Hot 104.5 in San Antonio. What format holes are available in Da burgh? 3 or more rockers, 5 country, 2 news, WISH 99.7. 96.1 Kiss is a Top 3 station so why not give Kiss competition.
I wouldnt be surprised if they flip to rock. Pittsburgh is a rock and country town

KZEP is hardly a good example, as it is now down to 15th in 12+ in San Antonio.

Why would the 7th highest biller in the market flip formats? Adjustment, while maintaining billings, is far more likely.

We already have five country stations in town. Why, that's almost as many as Zanesville!

WDVE already has a very long-term and loyal following of rock fans. WKVE picks up what's left around the margins. 96.9 had a stronger reputation with rock fans before adopting the BOB FM format, so perhaps the most logical move is to take BOB to 92.9 and return classic rock to 96.9.

The other possibility is to scoop WAMO listeners away to a station that has a real signal.

I like the idea of 92.9 going Rhythmic and could give WKST a run for its listenership, but like David said they might be retooling.

BTW if they were going the Rhythmic route I wouldn't put it past iHeartMedia to counter that with a R&B/Hip-Hop flanker to protect 96.1Kiss-FM.
