Imus and WXUR???

I'm hoping someone like R&R will keep tally of who 61 radio affiliates pick up instead of Imus.

We are running Mike and Mike from ESPN starting monday morning....we are not happy about it and are doing all we can to get DON back on the air ASAP...no matter what netwrk is carrying him...
WXUR was the first IMUS IN THE MORNING affilaite going back to 1994...So far we have not gotten a response from him...the situation is fluid at the moment ...we thank you for listening and hope to bring him back as soon as we can..as Rob Bartlett as said to us ...stay tuned this is not over yet....

How about WHEN in Syracuse? Mike & The Mad Dog will fit their format but not bring in the revenue. If Imus or something as good can not fill that morning slot maybe there is a format change in the wind.

Unless you know something I don't, Mike & The Mad Dog are not being syndicated nationwide or on MSNBC, they are just replacing Imus in NYC on WFAN for now. Or so it is rumored.

Thanks for the info...many things are in flux right now...Mike and the Mad DOG is on the westwood reciever but only there for 2 more weeks calls to WFAN and to Westwood one reveal nothing about what they plan to air after the 2 weeks is up...We are in contact with some of IMUS staff and we are just waiting to see what shakes out after his 2 week vacation..we are trying not to commit to any 1 show at this point.as to not burn our bridges with westwod one...although they have breeched the contract we signed....I will put IMUS back on ....IM trying to see where I need to be to get him back

If I were a betting guy I would bet Imus will return on WOR and the WOR network.
After all they gave Joey Reynolds a home. And it would be huge for Buckley owned WOR and WFBL.

Best of luck getting Imus back on the air. After what happen over the past few weeks, it should be interesting to see where and when the I-man makes his next home and appearance.
