IMUS BACK ON TAN TALK

What else are you going to put on WTAN? More medical-infomercials?

DW: "Why, for less than the cost of a slice of leftover pumpkin pie, you can have your own radio show on the most powerful radio station in the 700 block of North 'Mrytle' Avenue, broadcasting to a six square block of downtown Clearwater and to the entire solar system on this new-fangled thing called the Word Fried Bed. Call Lola right now for an opportunity to sell your product or idea to the three people who actually listen."

Unresistable.

Lola is still alive? WOW! This MUST be Nebraska! ;D

Well, doesn't WTAN run Air America? Therefore the current morning show would be "The Young Turks."

Actually, their predominate show/format appears to be something called "MOYL", which I understand is a never-ending radio sitcom about this guy who travels around performing circumcisions. (Ouch!)
Sort of like Seinfeld meets Quincy.
Perhaps you're confusing a show 'TAN runs called "HAIR America", a paid infomercial for spray-on hair replacement foam. Hosted by Chris Jones, it's actually one of their most popular shows...

RMarino,

It looks like it's primarily brokered programming a/k/a pay for play radio.

They run MOYL in the unsold time slots. If you pay for the time and your check clears you can be in one of those MOYL slots.

From R&R....

The station, which airs a mix of local programs, syndicated shows, brokered programming and music of your life, simply shuffled its lineup to include Imus. Downtown Dave moves to afternoons and the “Freedom Mortgage” show pushes back to 5 p.m.

Wow. Exciting. Make sure and check out Freedom Mortgage!
