Given the plethora of shady advertisers and bogus claims on radio, kudos to Imus for calling out a claim made by one advertiser, skincare company Chamonix, for a seemingly exaggerated claim in an alleged “customer testimonial” of their eye cream immediately reducing eye-puffiness. Imus said that while the product is good, the testimonial wasn’t believable.
.
In another instance, Imus ridiculed the idiotic “customer testimonials” in the incessant commercials for Balance of Nature, which purports to contain “tens of thousands” of “phytonutrients” from dehydrated fruits and vegetables in capsules Those alleged testimonials from people, many of whom sound barely literate, claiming to have been cured of a myriad of afflictions from multiple sclerosis to eczema to back aches. Imus said the testimonials sounded absurd
Good on Imus!
