IMUS Celebrates 40 years in NY on 12/2/11

Proud to work with the man at WNBC. I was just a kid, but he was always ok to me, even in his "show up late for work by two or three hours" days in the 80's.

I could hear the fights in Kevin Metheny's office right thru the door!

Memories...

I didn't start listening to him until the 90's, but my wife was a fan as far back as the 70's. Love his show. And frankly, as old as he is, I think he is better now on WABC than he was in his last years at the FAN.

Gee folks, I remember listening to him back in the 70's in Stockton, CA. And then in Sacramento on KXOA 1470 Top 40 & KXOA 107.9 FM playing country music. Thanks to Jack Thayer he moved on to Cleveland, Ohio and then onto New York. Congratulations to Don Imus for forty great years plus for me. The man was terrific even back then keeping a bunch of high schooler's in stitches. I'd like to say here's to forty more but I don' t believe he can make it that long. Lol....If I did I'd behitting 97 years old. Lol. Thanks Don, you deserve the spotlight!

nice to see the positive remarks about a man that has left a distinct mark on broadcasting... i am glad to have had the opportunity to enjoy his work.
