Imus in Buffalo doesn't seem to be a workable proposition.
Since Imus is a Citadel-ABC "property," speculation would lead to one of the Citadel stations taking his show. 97 Rock? The morning show is said to be top five Persons 25-54 and #1 Men 25-54. Not likely.
The Edge? O&A reportedly are doing well in the station demo, primarily 18-34 felons. The nearly 70 year old Imus isn't in that demo. Negative.
Mix 104? It's a mommy-goes-to-the-mall station. Imus isn't even close to that demo. Don't hear it happening there.
WHLD and WBBF? They're brokered and making money. One's a daytimer, the other has a second rate signal. Why bring in Imus?
Now look at Entercom and Regent. Does anybody seriously think those two clusters are going to add money to Citadel's coffers by paying Imus' syndication fee? Not likely to happen on Buffalo.
Maybe WJJL, WLVL, WSPQ... about as likely as Imus going to WDCX... yeah, I'm kidding.
It's a bad time to syndicate, especially a cadavor like Imus, who still carries a lot of negative baggage:

Using data provided by Nielsen Monitor-Plus we see that notably missing from the first show were all but three of the top 30 Imus advertisers, based on 2006 spending on Imus' show at CBS sports WFAN. None of the top ten advertisers aired spots in the first show, with only Fuji Heavy Industries, the State of New York and Cablevision running spots during the debut. The 30 advertisers on the list combined to spend over $4 million dollars on Imus' show during 2006. The three who bought commercials on the Dec. 3 show represent only approximately $330,000 of that spending.
He said his Citadel-ABC deal was for five years because that's how long it would take "to get even with everybody." Wonder if the vindictive jerk even has five years in him... I'm talking about his career, not his life... but then again.
