Imus In Hartford

The rumors are swirling about the imminent return of Imus to NY radio. If he returns to WABC, that's great because then I'll be able to listen to the show here in the Hartford area.

If he returns to WPLJ, then I'm out of luck. Unless..... Citadel decides to syndicate the show. Maybe a station in Hartford, New Haven, or Springfield might pick it up.

Who do you think might decide to carry it?

I doubt if Hartford stations would replace Davis, Sebastian, Craig, Bosh, etc. I don't think Imus could increase ratings and revenue on their stations, so changing to Imus would not be worth the cost. The only possiblity could be WHCN, but I don't know if they would want to eliminate music in the morning.

WABC seems like the perfect fit Connecticut wise - almost the same as wfan as far as reach. I'm not sure what PLJ is? Everything I'm reading seems to be pointing to WABC and perhaps a fox network tv simo.

I don't see Scott and Todd being ousted at WPLJ. A Hot AC doesn't seem like the place for Imus. WABC seems like the better fit.

FYI, WPLJ is 95.5 FM in New York. Their transmitter is on the Empire State building and theefore the signal usually only reaches as far as New Haven.
