IMUS RADIOTHON DOWN 50%! EX WABC HOST WHITMAN ON STEPHANIE MILLER SHOW!

This morning the NY DAILY NEWS reports Dom Imus' radiothon $$$ is DOWN from last year...over 50%. WOW!

Per his MySpace page, ex WABC talker Brian Whitman will be a guest on Stephanie Miller's KTLK "K-TALK" radio show. Tune in this morning at 11:30am (EASTERN).

There are several factors at play in the drop. First, last year's total was far above normal, as people gave to prove a point. Second, it was not on all day event as in the past. Third, as pointed out in the article, charitable giving is down significantly this year.

Guess besides no one listening to him anymore, people got tired of funding his vacation home poorly disguised as a summer camp for kids.

Thanks for the sample of the program. Whitman is out of control. I mean that in a good way. He should be doing AM drive in NYC. No more playing second banana. He should get his own show. Stick to comedy. When he was at WABC politics came first.

WPLJ's Scott Shannon has helped Whitman with his radio career. If Whitman received an offer to do mornings in NYC, Shannon should give Whitman his blessing. If it ever happens Shannon should NOT look at it as a slap in the face.
