Imus was funny as a disk jockey 40 years ago but his mumbling aloof style never worked for me without the music to buffer the show. I haven't heard him for several years, probably back to WWDB-AM & back then his muttering was pretty incoherent so I can't imagine how he sounds now. Talk radio is not learning the lesson to develop new, young talent especially if they hope for an under 55 year old audience.

I believe that Hannity and Batchelor originate their shows from WABC. Warner and Bernie anchor their reports from the WABC studios for the Imus program. The truth is that they will probably make more money, even if they get less revenues from Imus than from a local morning show, since the station will no longer be spending money to produce a local morning show.
