Imus to WCFO April 13

Just heard on WCFO that Imus is starting there next Monday. What happens at WYAY? Could one of the following occur:

1. Music in the Morning
2. Randy & Spiff
3. Neil Millman & The Kimmer
4. Traffic & Car Repair with Art Mehring & Sam Memmolo

A win-win for Citadel. Citadel gets to get that albatross off of True Oldies while keeping him on the air in ATL (albeit on a third-tier station).

Could this news be related to WABC taking over barter syndication of Imus and other shows?

It's also a win for (drum roll please) ......

No. Citadel has to have an Atlanta affiliate for Imus in order to sell his show nationally. It doesn't matter if nobody listens to the affiliate; it just has to be on the list of markets.

Up to now, Citadel had to carry Imus so the show would have an Atlanta affiliate. With WCFO taking it, True Oldies has been freed up for mornings. Let's just hope WCFO stays in business.
