Imus toast at MSNBC

Good riddance, and I wish him a speedy departure from CBS Radio as well.

CBS just renewed their contract with Imus recently though and would be responsible to pay more than a bit of money out...

>>Imus's show earned $15 million in advertising and syndication fees for CBS Radio last year so it's a relatively tiny amount compared to the radio conglom's total $2 billion in revenues in 2006...it may be more cost-effective for CBS to retain Imus considering he just signed a hefty 5-year-$10 million a year extension this past January. CBS would still owe him a significant chunk of change of the new contract if the company were to take him off the air.
