Barring some last minute plan for this weekend. (Which I am game for.) I don't think we are going to have the get together before we leave. With that in mind, and Steve's final day in Mempho being Monday. I hope your transition to Boston is a good one. For all of the trash talking, politicking, and overall B.S. that's regularly thrown around on this board, (0f which, I am pleased to be a part of.) may I say now, you will be missed, in all seriousness?

Over the years, you've been a good moderator, and a good guy throughout. We've disagreed on numerous occasions, but I have always had a certain respect for you, and more so with each conversation we have had. I hope that your down to earth nature, and experience takes you wherever you want to go in Boston, or anywhere else.

I am certainly glad you will still be doing your share of the writing on this board. In the mean time, stay warm up there, and do stay in touch, and not just on this board.

There's still time for a cold one before you go. In case that's not workable, just wanted to be one of the first to say, in all seriousness, you will indeed, be missed. Take care Steve. CFKane

To everybody -

This is one of the only cities that I've made really good friends like this and you all will be missed. I'm normally kindof a grumpy ol bastard. I will say this... they don't think much of me on the Boston board. We got some real loosers up in that market. It'll be interesting to see how welcomed I am back up that way.

Anyway, I'm sorry we didn't all get together but it's really tough to get everyone in one place considering air and remote schedules any time during a week. But it's the thought that counts.

Larry and you guys over at Entercom, you do realize I was pulling your chain half the time, right? haha. But look, between FM 100 and Kix 106, I've been at a station sharing your demos in some way ever since I left da Buzz.

In all honesty, people have said Memphis is a radio graveyard, and God knows, it's almost impossible to get a gig in this town but actually, I think there's more life here than most of us appreciate. New York is no better. Really. In fact, gang, it doesn't even sound better. Not anymore. Even Boston, where I'm going, doesn't sound like it did years ago. I always thought Boston was one of the best sounding markets in the country but it's been watered down over the last few years like everything else. So, I think you guys here in Memphis are among the best. All of ya.

I did a bit of airchecking this afternoon before I went on the air. Captured Blues Saturday on WDIA - a FABULOUS show if you ask me! A little bit of this and a bit of that. I think I have tapes of everything except WRBO & V-101.1... but I got another day to fix that. And on that note, if any of you wanna be highlighted on airchexx.com, either contact me and set up a meet time Sunday or Monday or I'll give you an address to send things up north.

God... enough already HAHAHA - in terms of the board I'll still be here. OH, BUT... PLEASE, NO FLAME WARS TILL AT LEAST NEXT SATURDAY. Don't make me come back down here......

Home safe

Hi guys,

Josh and I made it home safe. Got in at about 6pm Wednesday night.

Been listening to Boston & Springfield radio... nothing to write home about. You guys sound at least as good. Got some prospects already but nothing sure. I might end up doing manufacturing or something in the interim... but all will work out.
