Logo went on the air at 9:00pm ET this evening.

DirecTV is carrying it on channel 263, and most of the cable systems that had carried the VH1 MegaHits channel are also carrying it.

Schedule is not available yet on their website but the DirecTV interactive guide has it already.

Opening night programming included the "Inside TV Land" episode on gay television characters, a Melissa Etheridge concert, Graham Norton (last seen on BBC America), and the movies "Edge of Seventeen" and "Can't Stop The Music".

The latter, no doubt, being an embarassing point in The Village People's career, during a time when they, and disco, were becoming old hat (or, in their case, old helmets, old Indian headdresses, etc.).

You have to subcribe to Showtime/Movie Channel in order to see Logo on Charter.

I wonder how many calls DirecTV has/will receive from subscribers who don't approve of the gay/lesbian lifestyle to help them set up their parental controls/channel blocks...

The programming is pretty tame, actually.

...which means nothing to the Christian zealots that want it off the air anyway, just because it caters to and promotes an unnatural lifestyle.

Knowing the zealots, give an inch and they'll take a mile. And if you try to take away their "mile", they fight.
