In Memoriam: KYW Newsradio's Jack O'Rourke

Another passing in the 1060 family. Sports reporter Jack O'Rourke died after covering Friday night's Phillies game. I'll always remember his referring to old Boston Garded as "majestic" whenever he would give the scores involving the Celtics or Bruiins.
 
From everything I've read today, it really sounds like he left this world doing what he loved the most. Not a bad way to go, really.
 
Absolutely. He knew the Phillies were going to clinch this weekend, so he died peacefully.

But it is certainly weird for KYW to lose two people the same week.
 
Hard to believe I was just listening to him Thursday evening on my way to the stadium for the evening half of the day/nite double header. RIP Jack.
