IN MEMORIAM (SO SAD)

My coworker at my weekday job (I have two jobs, one in radio and one in an Medical Office) My coworker who used to work in radio a long time ago as a News Reporter showed me an small piece in Friday August 13, 2010 Patriot Ledger in the Obituarie section
I was about to try and copy and paste it here, but I don't want to do anything wong to violate the rules on this site. I will write as I see it here

"In Memoriam"
[ There's a picture of Vinnie Peruzzi ]
Under it reads this:
"In Loving Memory of"
VINCENT R. PERUZZI
Loving My Beloved Son
2004 Sixth Year Anniversary August 13, 2010
Our Hearts still ache with sadness
And secret tears still flow
What it ment to lose you
No one will ever know
Our Thoughts are always with you
Your place no one can fill.
In life we loved you dearly
In death we love you still.
We love and miss you so much.
Mom, sisters Angela, and Linda and family.
Anniversary Mass, Saturday, August 21 at 4pm at St John The Baptist

Please? For those who liked Vinnie Peruzzi and knew of him, please share your (good) thoughts of him, and his wonderful work and attitude. Please only good thouughts. I'm serious, please don't say nothing bad here, I know most times, you all are always mad at me and hate what I say here. I mean no harm here. I just try to do good in life, and try to make a good difference. Please leave your good thoughts here.

I'm a 35 year old male. I grew up listenning to him on KISS 108, then, around 1991, he moved to WZOU 94.5 I was just finishing the ninth grade back then. He was on there until ??? 1995. (Jamn 94.5 came around 1993) He remained there for just over a year there after. He then went to Eagle 93.7 (which was Soft Classic Rock/New Rock), then in the late 90s, early 2000, they changed to "Star 93.7" He remained there until his passing. So very sad. As the article states "Your Place, no one can fill" He was one of the nicest radio personalities on air. Very nice guy. He was known as "Disco Vinnie" He played all the Disco Club Classics/Oldschool R&B/R&B Oldschool Dance Music, Freestyle Dance Music, he was one of the best.

Shortly after his passing, "Star 93.7" became what is now "93.7 Mike FM" It is so sad that they didn't keep Star 93.7. If they programmed it the right way with the best programs (example: Leeza Gibbons Hollywood Confidential, "Sol Kafe") if they programmed it the right way, it would still be around and sucessfull. I know many of you hate what I say here and get mad at me, but it is what it is. I just wish Star 93.7 was still around.

Disco Vinnie will be missed

all im going to say is this im not surprised you would find that considering your love of star 93.7 but it is sad people shouldnt die at all, btw what did he die of?

I can't answer that but I believe that he died several years ago (maybe three years, but that's a guess).

it's ok, if you all can't answer, thank you for at least aknowledging this. That alone means a lot.

Yes, I liked Star 93.7, but at times I didn't listen because maybe I didn't like a song or three (Game of Love-Mitchelle Branch, and Boderline-Madonna) I didn't like those songs. Other than that, for me, the station was great.

I mean, don't get me wrong, 93.7 Mike FM is ok. Last week I heard an old song that I still have on a (45) "Shutup You Face" by Joe Dolce. I haven't heard that (on the radio) in so long. They played it a few times last week and two weeks ago. I do listen to them, that's one of a few stations I do listen to as well as (Magic 106.7 at my weekday job-not by choice), as well as on my free time WEEI, and (Despite the language barrier, I also listen to Mia 1430am) I understand little Spanish because my dad is from Guatemala. Their station is great as well.
But anyways, 93.7 Mike FM is ok, I just wish they can bring back Star 93.7, or play better music.
Mix 104.1 and Magic 106.7 has great signals inside and outside the city, I don't see why not they don't play new Ruben Studdard Music, New Whitney Houston Music, New Angie Stone music, new Macy Gray and Bobby Brown "Real Love", these stations should focus on New Urban AC. I know you all get mad at me, but those are some of todays hottest R&B music that NO True Radio Station is playing in Boston. It's 2010
The only station we get at my weekday job in most offices, there's a speaker in each department. When we put that speaker on, the station that is heard is "Magic 106.7" That's the same in most departments. Don't get me wrong, Magic 106.7 is great, big ups to them for playing "Baby I Love Your Way" by Big Mountain. I love you Magic... :) Play more of this type of music. My coworkers, both are Caucation, both are 65+, both like Reggae music. I fool you not. They like Bob Marley, and Maxi Priest. I was surprised. Most of the employees and patients here at this Medical Practice are African American (Mostly Hatian), and Vietnamese other than Americans, so therefore it wouldn't hurt to play one Ruben Studdard song, at ??? 11:15, and at ??? 2:45pm play Charlie Wilson. It wouldn't hurt. It's 2010.

Anyways, Vinnie Peruzzi, you are truely missed. God Bless

What's sad is that you hijacked your own post about a truly gifted and wonderful person and turned it into a "bash the company that pays you" post.

Vinnie was a great talent and a kindhearted person. He is truly missed.

yeah i was gonna say.....he starts with a memorial and then turns it into his usual Star 93.7/dance radio rant. LOL

Vinnie was a Boston radio staple....someone everyone listened to at one station/format or another.

I don't mean to say nothing bad. You all always mad at me and say bad things and make me look bad.

I mean no harm to no one, I don't mean to say nothing bad to no one. You all don't know me, so please keep all bad thoughts to yourself and not here

I don't mean to say nothing bad to no one
