In Need for part 15 xmitter for home.

Hi all . I will be interested to buy a part 15 fm Transmitter with antenna,I need some help in finding a good deal on one.I have the Ramsey kit ones ,but I want to upgrade to something better.Thank an advance..

Keep in mind that any legal Part 15 FM transmitter should only output the maximum allow field strength of 250 µV/m at 3 meters.

Your statement of "... I want to upgrade to something better" doesn't define "better" - are you looking for better audio? more coverage? There are some FM transmitter reviews on my site which may be of interest to you.

Signal strength is a different matter. Cheaper transmitters may fall short of the Part 15 maximum. There are also transmitters out there which have no certification. All I have to say is buyer beware - if you procure one of the cheap China-manufactured "splatter boxes" and you interfere with a local broadcast station or worse, aircraft traffic, expect a visit from the FCC. There are people who have modified the Ramsey units for field strength past Part 15 limits but the same warnings as with the splatter boxes apply.

Thanks for the quick advice guys,I'm sorry about not getting into more detail,Ok,I need something that will give me better sound quality and rock solid and drift free. Also like Bill said it wont be interfering with the big boys with a mess of harmonics, and a knock on the door from the FCC.I will check your site out Bill and the C-Cranes site too.
