KTZR no longer rocks, KTSR no longer exists, and KISS 104.9 is now Mix 104.7 and royally sucks. Oh, yeah..and if you love country, Aggie 96 is still around. That about sums up Bryan/College Station.

I believe you meant that Bryan Broadcasting owns 1150 The Zone, as opposed to 1510. Wouldn't make much sense if they were buying their station from themselves.
______________

Nonsense! Jerry Russell used to buy stations from himself all the time. :D

That you mistyped, and because of that, your post was confusing to anyone that doesn't know the B/CS market very well.

Thats true. He was a hard bargainer but he finally gave in to himself and raised the price in order to teach himself a lesson he wouldn't soon forget. Regretably he did and decided to re-resell the property to himself in which case the price was considerably higher. Now he is thinking of selling it again, because he can't afford himself.

Re: Bryan/College Station news is all the rage?!?

Thanks for pointing that out. We need more people like you in today's world. You seem to be a very kind person, going around doing such good deeds.

You're welcome. I hope you didn't take what I wrote personally, or the wrong way. I do care about the Bryan/College Station market, as I have family in Bryan. The problem is that there is not much good radio coming out of the market right now. That is probably why you don't see much posted regarding B/CS, and it's properties.
______________

Re: Bryan/College Station news is all the rage?!?

Not at all... just messing around. I live in Bryan and worked in radio in the area during the 80's and early 90's. I am very disappointed in what has happened to the industry here in recent years. Radio here used to be fun, now it's all corporate. The local flavor is gone. I listen to satellite now. I am sure there are B/CS radio people reading these boards, and I would like to see more discussion here amongst insiders as to what is going on in the market.
