I was so disrespectful two weeks ago...I am hoping to be forgiven. Two weeks ago I took the Stirling exit off of I-95 to visit with my client. However, last Thursday I did the right thing and took the SHERIDAN exit, as I should have. It isn't everyday that a radio great gets an exit named after him, so I suggest if you have business in the area, you use that same exit. I do understand there was a move afoot to add a picture of The Broadcast Great on the exit sign itself, however, the government nixed that because all highway signs must look the same. Anyway, they picked that particular exit for the noted landmarks you'll see. For example, at the end of the ramp, larger than life you'll see the very large water tank with the word "Hollywood". No doubt, its a reference to the incredible show business talent displayed by Mr. Sheridan. Then as I got closer to my client's building, I noticed a crane business stategically placed to signify the heights Mr. Sheridan took broadcasting to during his days. A little further, I passed Green Street...a reference to how Mr. Sheridan's tax contributions had benefited society over the decades. As I was talking outside to my client, I noticed an incredible sight. Airplanes above were flying over the exit with one wing dipped! Incredible! What a sight. Mike Sheridan...the legend lives on!
