In Studio Video Camera's During Talk Show Broadcasts

What does everyone think about camera's in studio during talk show broadcasts. I guess I am from the "old school", not sure if I like it. I mean do you want to see what Bruce Jacobs looks like during a rant, or the fact that the Nearly Famous One reminds me of the "Wizard" on the Wizard of Oz when he is behind the curtain pushing buttons to make his face and sounds for those that visited the Great Oz.

Is KFWHYEYE the only local station broadcasting video at this time locally?
 
hi guys..
I can weigh in on this...our owner (singular) had for his show and a few others installed three (3) sony broadcast quality motorized cameras and a full switcher and still store.
Here it is a hit for a station that has been on the air ONLY 1 month. the webcam gets somewhere in the neighborhood of 18,000 hits a week and looks really good
on the web. I couldn't begin to estimate it's cash value but it's definately an indespensible tool for a marker that needed a "state of the art" station.
 
We here at KXAM have a web cam.

But its not synched with the audio... which can really confuse people... but can actually be fun if you watch the right show.

But really... if there is a hot chick sitting there... do you need audio?

Actually, I've seen it and watching Bruce Jacobs rant is at least 10% more fun than just hearing it. My all time favorite classics are when he tore the Republic to shreds (literally!) and when he kicked the garbage can.

I love Bruce Jacobs. Agree or disagree with him - he is a genuine guy.

Jim I have not seen Bruce on the KFWHYEYE Cam yet, only the Nearly Famous Wizard of Oz, I mean Barry Young. Now that you mention it I remember that show, I bet it was a great visual.
