Inappropriate commercials

Jeez, has everybody lost their memory of being a kid, and what kids (at least boys) talk about, joke about and how they talk about it?

TV needs to stop pandering to up-tight, hung-up, repressed parental units.

By contrast, in Europe (which ranks ahead of the US in almost all quality of life measures), they have restrictions on TV violence but not on boobs in commercials. No wonder this is such a sick society.

Ten years ago ( 2006 ) when the citizens of Virginia were voting on the issue of gay marriage some of the anti-gay marriage ads at the time I felt was inappropriate. I remember seeing one questionable ad on Harrisonburg's WHSV channel 3 during Good Morning America showing two really fat hairy gay guys walking around in public wearing jock straps smoking cigars and drinking beer while the voice over woman warned that if Virginia would allow gay marriage then scenes such as this would be very common on the streets of small town Virginia..oh and the ad had also warned that nudity would be common along the oceanfront in Virginia Beach that is if the voters would vote in favor of gay marriage. Looking back that was probably their game plan,,to shock as many voters as possible and in getting them to vote no by getting a station like WHSV to run it during Good Morning America. It worked Virginia voted no to gay marriage. The irony of this is that since gay marriage is now legal in Virginia and elsewhere public nudity is still illegal in Virginia Beach and the sight of two half naked fat hairy gay guys standing on a street corner smoking cigars and drinking beer...I doubt anyone in Virginia has yet to encounter that one.
