Incredibly Bad Wording But Funny As.....

Let's have some fun, shall we??? At one of my stations we had a guy who was like a "god" in the market. Formerly on the air, he became a salesman and stayed there for over 500 years. You know the type! He was the best salesman at the station, wrote and recorded most of his spots. The general public was under the impression that he was there so long he must have owned the place. Anyway, his way with words was just a bit "off". Two examples...he recorded a spot for an appliance store and their kitchen stoves by starting out:"Be a wise mother!" Then for the restaurant at the Holiday Inn, he ended the spot with: "...they put the pleasure in eating out!"

Sounds like someone who may have written this line ..." Put your hair in the capable hands of Venice Dimilo House Of Beauty!"

or "our big Outdoor Sale will have you ready for when nature calls"
