Indiana Christian station to flip?

At IndianaAirwaves.net, this rumor was posted:
From the grapevine.... What Indiana Christian station is planning the flip to Oldies/Classic Hits...? (we'll see if our info pans out)

What Christian station could this be? Would a full power station really do this? Seems to me that one of the LP stations would be more likely.

Just what Indy needs - ANOTHER oldies/classic station!!

When will these people learn?

Indianapolis? Or Indiana? I hope it isn't Pulse (no way it would be) or WQME. I otherwise could be one of the K-Love stations.

Wouldn't likley be Spirit 95 with stable mate WCLS 97.7 already in that format.

That's what I don't get about this rumor - most Christian stations are either ministry-owned, or doing well with the format, so I don't see where there is a potential for this flip (again, except among LPFM stations).

The only Christian station that's gone silent lately is WCWC-LP 94.3 Marion, which has apparently dropped the RadioU network as it moves to new owner Indiana Wesleyan University, who will allow students to program and run the station beginning this fall. Presumably, however, the station will still be Christian CHR / Rock of some sort. Would the students really want to do Oldies or Classic Hits? Doubtful.

Per FCC filing, WCWC-LP is silent during reorganization. It will be a student run station with student management and programs that change based on the students who are currently enrolled at IWU. They could do any format they wanted to ... hopefully they choose to run the station as a professional endeavor and not a "hey, I'm on the radio" toy.

It was pretty much assumed when College Wesleyan got the station in 2002 that IWU would get it as soon as the FCC allowed. IWU received a waiver in order to own WCWC-LP as well as WIWU-LP. They finally got their wish.

As for what station is "flipping" ... good question.

Here's the fun part. What might WCLS change to? Perhaps a signal swap?
