Indianapolis Spring Book 2008

One thing that stood out the me was CBK. I know their ratings aren't great, but considering their station only covers about half the city and they are almost entirely devoted to local coverage, it is impressive to even show up in the book. Ownership over there should be commended for actually beating some indy stations, yet giving their community tons of attention.

most stations are where they were expected to be - some on the downslide, as expected.

Interesting how FNI began from a dead-start, and still leads the three sportstalk stations - by a considerable amount. i thought XL-950 would do better with Patrick, but Mancow obviously isn't doing a bit of good. I'd rather hear sports in the morning -- evidently, others would as well.

Drop the beef and do what you're suppose to do -- SPORTS!

why would you put a general talk show on a sports talk station in your AM drive anyway?

Byrd knows restuarants, but when it comes to radio ....

What is WEXM? Saw them listed?

Gee...it didn't seem to hurt WFAN for all those years!

Well Gee, it didn't seem to HELP WXLW now did it? Different markets I think?

I noticed that while WEDJ shows in about the same ranking as it usually does, I see no numbers for WSYW-AM. Do they now simulcast with WEDJ or have they just dropped off the radar?

WSYW-am has dropped off the radar. i dont believe they simulcast WEDJ. its hard to get much with 3 spanish stations with not much of a hispanic population
What is WNTS doing that WSYW isn't doing? I agree that 3 stations is probably a bit much for the hispanic format. But WSYW was there first, and hispanic audiences tend to be rather loyal.

WNTS might have an advantage as they are not a daytimer like WSYW. The nighttime coverage for WNTS is poor over the metro, but Ok over South and South Central Marion County where a significant number of the potential listeners live. The studio out on West Washington doesn't hurt either.
