If anyone was listening to Bob Frantz on WTAM Monday after Cleveland got beat he was just RIPPING Triv & Co. Running fake promos imitating him yelling at Rado, eating on the air, snorting, Marty screaming about Mr. Chicken, etc. Later on in the afternoon Triv was saying management was not allowing any more bits & Triv did not speak of Frantz that I heard of so it looked like they weren't allowed to try & retaliate on the air. Frantz calls him Trivosausage on the air now.

Unfortunately as long as they have someone to buy in to the "feud", WTAM has a viable product. I've been listening to a lot more music on my way home from work.
 
Don't forget Munch on 'KNR. And the excellent CIDR/93.9 - a true music station :)

With all due respect, Triv is just a big ol' act, as Johnny Morgan pointed out a long time ago. This "feud" of sorts was probably scripted out by Triv, Frantz, Ray Davis and Methany for maximum effect. (Ahead of time, and since I'm unable to hear Bob - and refuse to listen to Triv - I say... "Bravo! Now, where were we?")

There's a difference between "going off" with malicious intent and acting in a 6th grade play. Now, this is NOT meant as an insult to Bob, who I do respect (and hope he eventually assumes the PMD slot in the coming years). It IS meant to insult Triv, who is a slavish homer for all the teams as long as they are contracted with CC. "Carmen Policy's on your speed dial again..."

And since Triv leaves it all up to his minions Rado and Allison (both I feel sorry for at times) to post in his name on Cleveland.com's Listening Party, he is the biggest coward in the city. Plus, he doesn't have the guts to respond to this shot... whatever.

Are you kidding? Have you seen Triv? He has enough guts to respond to every blog in every country in the world! He makes Jabba the Hutt like like an anorexic Ethiopian kid!
 
I've been listening to TAM with amusement. Does anyone know what time of year it is? Can you say fall sweeps boys and girls? This hatched up fued between Franz and Triv was probably thought up three months ago. But many people are buying into it. Who was it in TV that called America a vast wasteland?

I only listen to Triv to try and guess what food product he is consuming on air. Other then that, he sounds like a blender trying to grind gravel.
 
Let me clarify. I ONLY listen to Trivial when my radio is scanning by it and stops for a few seconds. I hear more of him on 19 Fictional News then I do on the radio and when he comes on 19 I usually turn it off.

If that's the case then how can you even comment on the show? My guess is you listen... you just don't want to admit it for some reason. (And I only read Playboy for the articles).
 
I can comment because I have heard him a few times, but I don't listen to him. Matter of fact I don't listen to most sports radio stuff because they talk about either football, baseball, basketball...and that's it. I like soccer and wrestling [and not that WWWhatever crap] and you NEVER hear them talking about those sports. So, if you want to call yourself a SPORTS station, then cover ALL sports, not just a few.

You won't hear about those sports around here either. Consider the fact that indoor soccer has failed twice in Cleveland, and when the Crunch won the championship nobody wanted to recognize it.

YEKIMI, you and I are from about the same area-You Wadsworth and me Rittman. I can tell how popular soccer is by seeing how many kids and their parents are at the soccer fields off of 57. But it's more popular as a participation sport than as a spectator sport.
 
I agree with WixyGrad.... if people cared about soccer and wrestling (do you mean the SPORT of wrestling as it's practiced in high school, college, and the olympics.... or are you talking about the theatrical production from WWF, et. al.?) and listened to it, there would be stations bidding for the rights. Soccer on radio has been tried.... and died. And WTAM is not a "sports" station.... it's an entertainment station that happens to carry a lot of sports and sports talk. There's a big difference! That's why on some days Trivisonno is talking about the Indians or the Browns and other days it may be UFO's or the mayor (who may have come here in a UFO, but I digress....). With one notable exception (WEEI Boston), a good sports station will get you a 2-3 share. If you want to push the double digits you have to broaden your appeal.
 
Soccer did not fail in Cleveland, both times the owner demanded that the league do things his way and when they did not they both got the "I'm taking my ball and going home" syndrome and shut down the team. I had been at both Force/Crunch back to Force incarnations and the place was packed at several games. Yeah, soccer on radio has been tried and died....on a station that I could barely pick up in my car one mile from the tower let alone at home. And I was talking about REAL wrestling, not the WWF or E or whatever letter is appended to the end of WW these days...as I said in my post.

Not old news to some David...or should I say Mr. Know It All #2. I think it's hysterical when Frantz has new fake promos ripping them. Funny thing though, if it's all an act, why don't they makes fun of Alison?
