Indy 500 coverage

Before the format change, the former 850 The Buzz aired the IMS broadcasts of the Indy 500 Memorial Day Sunday and the NASCAR Brickyard 400 in July. Does anybody know who picked up the IMS Radio Network affiliation and will carry those two races?

The Indy Racing website has 620 listed as an affiliate. Hopefully, that's the case, as I much prefer the radio announcers to the television. They've always been top notch, going all the way back to the days of Sid Collins. BTW, if you are an Indy fan, go to WFNI's website, this Saturday night, and they will rerun classic 500 broadcasts all night; usually one from the '50s/'60s, followed by a more recent race. I think this year it starts later, due to a WNBA game.

I remember years ago turning on the raqce on TV and they kept flashing the words "1982 Indianapolis 500" on the screen. I didn't understand this and thought someone made a mistake, because these were obviously not clips. Then they went live and said the rain delay was still going on.
