I remember in the 70's WNAP use to broadcast the time-trials and race in stereo, and in the 80's WZPL did at one time and I recall it sounded great, so why isn't it done today? Is there a cost factor?
I can remember one year when a certain small town station aired the 500 in stereo also...seems like they had a real noisy satellite feed and borrowed ZPL's on-air audio instead. It did sound pretty decent!
Does anyone know when WIBC was broadcasting in am stereo if they ever used a stereo feed?
How would one find out if the IMS network does offer a stereo feed?
I like the idea of the 500 in quadrophonic....turn 1 in speaker 1, turn 2 in speaker 2 and so on. Sit in the middle of the room with a beer in your lawn chair and it's like you're there. Maybe you can even get your wife to show her t***s!
