Indy needs something to listen to.

With most of the dial voice tracked and what's live surrounded by bad music -- it's internet or iPod city.
Come on - someone bring back light jazz, real lite rock -- something decent.

Seems "Q", "B" whatever 107.9 wants to call itself -- are all off the mark.

Radio Luxemborg at least has great music and the British accent makes it interesting -- but it's not local. Even the local doesn't sound local because the cute bits of knowledge are voice tracked and I don't know how hot it is or what time it is or if the country just blew up.

Someone, just bring back radio.

lol, if they brought back light jazz or lite rock, I'd just shoot myself on the spot!!!

I listen to Vatican Radio, and turn to wgn for "local" news. Its 150 miles from here and the real local stations ALL stink.

At this point local radio is intent on attracting listeners under 45. Lite rock or light jazz are seen as formats for old people. If the big owners ever give up and sell to smaller owners things could change, or maybe not.

Listen to Indys Internet onlly stations like Circle City radio-Classic Rock..........Indy Oldies .com-Oldies.... Or Radio CDR (Martinsville)---Dance

We are programming jazz from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. on Thursdays and from 4:00 a.m.-7:00 a.m. on Fridays.

This isn't the first time this subject has come up on this board, and usually the same conclusion - no real suggestions.

What is it that is missing [formatically] in Indianapolis exactly? 50-60 Oldies, which no one seems to think is viable. Dance, which again typically gets poo-pooed as too niche. Same for Jazz.

So, if the alternatives that creep up time and again every time this is discussed are unacceptable, what is it exactly that folks think is missing in the market??? ???
