Indy numbers

Yeah....

Looks like no one's mourning the oldies format...(not to say I told you so, but...)
And looks as if Naptown would rather listen to Dan Seals' 'Bop' on Hank than 'England' Dan Seals on any of the AC stations. What a jump...and NONE of it at the expense of WFMS.

And Entercom bought 3 stations that are all taking a powder...at least temporarily. Scott Sands is a good programmer...Can he pull ZPL out of the nosedive?

And Russ Oasis is looking more and more like a genius (again), as KLU holds steady with a better share than a couple heritage Indy stations--although 97.1 beat him, but not by much.

Anyone else?

Hank is still in its honeymoon, yet I feel somewhat vindicated. For the past few years, I've said that another country station in this town (with a decent signal) would pull a 4 share. For one trend, I'm a genius.

For one trend...

..but is this a legitimate forecast or just the spike?

PS. Three words of advice for Russ Oasis: sell, sell, sell! It may never be worth more than it is right now.

Trust me, I'm not patting myself on the back too hard...one 12+ trend does not a success make, and I haven't seen any breakouts.

Actually WYXB had a nice trend. They are so gold based that they could be serving as a default oldies station for some listeners. On the other hand, WTPI had a poor trend.

I still think the most surprising thing for the second trend in a row is how low WNOU is.

Why should that come as a surprise??? They stink.

Surprising because they had decent ratings from the time they went CHR until recently.

WKLU will never go anywhere as long as they continue to play "Gimme Three Steps" and "Turn The Page." Why would the 'necks change station preferences when all they're getting is a clone. Too bad there are only 100 classic rock songs out there to choose from...

My opinion was when WNOU Went into its tailspin in the Ratings was when they Moved Wank and O'Brien from Radio Now to then Real 97.1 now Hank FM. Thats the Biggest Mistake they Made with WNOU in my mind.
